Associazione Erasmuss - ESN Sassari was founded in the Autumn of 2005 and became part of the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in March 2006. All its members are volunteers, mostly former Erasmus students, who work every day in order to help international students hosted by the University of Sassari. The desire to stay in touch with different cultures, the spirit of collaboration and solidarity typical of exchange students, combined with the interest in helping those who undertake the wonderful experience of studying abroad every year, is what moves us to keep doing ESN.

We are involved in orientation and welcoming of Incoming students: ESN Sassari is committed to helping Erasmus students integrate into the city and university structures. We offer the Pick-Up service aimed at Erasmus students who arrive in the city of Sassari for the first time, a wonderful opportunity to get to know each other immediately and not feel alone even for a moment. Once they arrive, we help students in finding accommodation. We provide support in university life, information on paperwork and bureaucracy, on degree courses, and above all practical advice from our experience to make studying at our university much less complicated.

Once Erasmus students feel more comfortable with the new environment, social activities begin. We organize cultural visits and excursions, both in the city of Sassari and throughout all Sardinia and Italy. Of course, there are also parties and events; we offer many moments of socialization such as parties, sports, language exchanges, theater, cinema, music nights, and cultural visits. But not only that, we also participate in national and international events, meetings with other Italian and European Erasmus students, in order to offer students the opportunity to visit the country in a fun way and at very affordable costs.

ESN is an extraordinary example of how volunteering can positively influence the lives of many people. It is also thanks to volunteers that young people manage to feel at home away from their homes; we make integration possible, we share experiences, and we create memories that will last a lifetime. Our desire is to spend splendid months together with you during your stay in Sassari and to remain in your hearts, as it always happens, even once you return home.

L'Associazione Erasmuss - ESN Sassari nasce nell'autunno del 2005 ed entra a far parte di Erasmus Student Network (ESN) nel marzo 2006. Tutti i suoi soci sono volontari, per lo più ex studenti Erasmus, che lavorano ogni giorno nell'interesse degli studenti stranieri ospiti dell'Ateneo Sassarese. La voglia di continuare a rimanere in contatto con le diverse culture, lo spirito di collaborazione e solidarietà tipico degli studenti in scambio, unito al desiderio di mettersi a disposizione di chi ogni anno intraprende la splendida esperienza di studiare all'Estero, è ciò che ci permette di continuare a fare ESN.

Ci occupiamo di orientamento e accoglienza degli studenti in mobilità: ESN Sassari si impegna ad aiutare gli studenti Erasmus ad inserirsi nella città e nelle strutture universitarie. Offriamo il servizio di Pick-Up rivolto agli studenti Erasmus che giungono nella città di Sassari per la prima volta, una splendida occasione per conoscersi subito e non sentirsi soli nemmeno per un istante. Una volta arrivati, aiutiamo gli studenti nella ricerca di un alloggio. Diamo sostegno nella vita universitaria, informazioni su modulistica e burocrazia, sui corsi di laurea e soprattutto utili consigli pratici provenienti dalla nostra esperienza, per rendere meno complicato lo studio nel nostro Ateneo.

Una volta che gli studenti Erasmus si sentono più a proprio agio con il nuovo ambiente, cominciano le attività sociali. Organizziamo visite culturali ed escursioni, sia nella città di Sassari che in tutto il territorio sardo e italiano. Non mancano ovviamente feste ed eventi, offriamo tantissimi momenti di socializzazione come feste, sport, scambi linguistici, teatro, cinema, serate di musica e visite culturali. Ma non solo, aderiamo anche ad eventi nazionali ed internazionali incontri con altri studenti Erasmus italiani ed Europei, al fine di offrire agli studenti l'opportunità di visitare il paese in maniera divertente e a costi molto economici.

ESN è un esempio straordinario di come il volontariato possa influenzare positivamente la vita di tante persone. E' anche grazie ai volontari se i ragazzi riescono a sentirsi a casa lontano da casa, rendiamo possibile l'integrazione, la condivisione delle esperienze e la creazione di ricordi che dureranno per tutta la vita. Il nostro desiderio è quello di trascorrere insieme a voi, durante la vostra permanenza a Sassari, degli splendidi mesi e di rimanere nel vostro cuore, come sempre accade, anche una volta tornati a casa.
