The first nucleus of the Infermeria was entrusted to San Pietro clergymen and was built upon the will of Elena Bronda at the half of XVII century.
The growth process of the complex lasted a long time, related to resource availability that generally came from donations, until the end of works of the area that nowadays includes house dorms and workshops that had been through several edits throughout the time.

At the end of the 800, from 1892 to 1896, it takes the current shape, thanks to a very characteristic intervention, which brought the demolition of one part of it.
Currently, it represents the building of the political department of culture and tourism of the municipality of Sassari.
