The hidden treasures of Sardinia

In addition to history, Sardinia is an island very rich in Nature and Wildlife. There is pleasant countryside together with wild woods, rocky mountains, cliffs and of course one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. If these words are still not sufficient to convince you to come with us, let’s look at the images below, which are self-explaining ;)

Have you ever crossed the walls of a Nuraghe, the ancient and mysterious stone buildings built in prehistoric times by the ancient populations of Sardinia? It is estimated that there are more than 7 thousand (yes, you read well, 7000!) Nuraghe throughout the island, many of them with colossal sizes, where you can’t really wonder how that population could be able to move blocks of such dimensions.

Many of these sites are open to the public and ESN often organises tours to explore these incredible archaeological treasures.
